Locus for nevirapine-induced hypersensitivity, when all phenotypes have been combined, and with SJS/TEN particularly. The locus-specific evaluation supplied an indication that the HLA-DQB1 region protected against nevirapine hypersensitivity. Given the higher degree of linkage disequilibrium inside the MHC, plus the many alleles present inside every locus, we then undertook an analysis in the individual HLA alleles (Table three). Constant together with the locus-specific information, quite a few HLA-DQB1 alleles were discovered to defend against nevirapine hypersensitivity when in comparison with the “rare allele” group. These integrated 6 diverse DQB1* alleles (02:01G, 03:02:01, 05:01:01, 06:02, 06:03:01, and 06:09) linked with a decreased risk of all hypersensitivity reactions with ORs ranging from 0.17 (95 CI, .056) to 0.41 (95 CI, .1896). DQB1*05:0101 was protective for SJS (OR = 0.11 [95 CI, .0256]) and HSS (OR = 0.17 [95 CI, .0480]); and 06:Table two.
